STRONG. ROBUST. HARD.
Our heavy plates deliver what you expect from steel designated for heat treatment. They are particularly good components for your plastic mould-making projects! Available in alloyed and non-alloyed quality in accordance with European standards.
The special characteristics of tempering steel relate to its carbon content (0.3-0.6%). Hardness, robustness and strength can be easily adjusted during the production process. This is a result of the right tempering parameters during the so-called quenching process, a heat treatment that involves hardening and tempering. Depending on the intended use, the chrome, manganese, molybdenum and nickel content of the alloys is precisely measured, which plays an important role for the thicker plates commonly used for plastic mould making.
